Holy Crap!

Well folks Christmas is here and gone and I have to say that it was a good one. What is strange is that Heather and I have set certain milestones that would help mark how close we were until little baby Lundy is actualy here and over the past two days we've passed two of them. One of my mentors at Starbucks had her baby today (she and Heather were not too far apart) and Christmas is done!! (I'm starting to have trouble breathing) Also, we received some very cool baby gifts this Christmas which is quite a change from the previous 28 years that I've celebrated Christmas. Ahhhh I guess it's God's way of telling me that it's time to grow up.

As soon as we got home we put the stuff together for the little tike, and here you go:

(I'm feeling faint now) It's becoming more and more real now...and scary. Not scary of what will happen with her, but just the fact that this guy

will be taking care and will be responsible for a human life. Pray for Heather and baby Lundy (and Barbaro).

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Baby Lundy

We are hitting the home stretch with our little girl here in Lundy town (aka awesometown). With a little under 8 weeks to go, reality is hitting home pretty quick. Heather and I both took our first official parenting class together last week and it took me until about half-way through it to realize that it actually related to what we will be doing. I have never changed a diaper, so to listen to our teacher talk for 3 hours about how to wash a baby, burp a baby, swaddle a baby, install a car seat, how not to install a car seat.....left my head spinning. I know things will be great and we will learn so much just by trail and error but I just don't want to warp her too early in her life.

Reality is hitting Heather as well as it is becoming increasingly harder and harder for her to do the basic things she so regularly did (e.g. sleep). I know that this is all normal but it's kind of heart wrenching to watch her go through pain and sleepless nights as she battles the natural toll having a baby has on her body. Baby Lundy is getting so big and we can see her every move now, which is almost like watching 'Alien' take place right in our bedroom. It is so cool to watch he move around when I talk or play music to her and it makes me long even more for the day that she will be here. What a miracle. =)

We love you all and thank you so much for your continued thoughts and prayers for our little girl. Pictures and videos to come soon....
